start-up of the PrimeLine tissue machine with shoe press supplied to
Ganzhou Hwagain Paper, China. “We were impressed by the start-up, it took only 15 minutes from starting up the stock pump to the first paper on the reel”, says Liang Hongwei, Chief Engineer at Ganzhou Hwagain Paper. According
to Liang Hongwei, the proven ANDRITZ shoe press technology and its
energy and drying efficiency, as well as the decades of experience that
ANDRITZ has in the pulp and paper industry were decisive in the award of
this order. The scope of supply comprised the stock preparation plant for softwood, hardwood, and bamboo pulp, the 2-layer headbox
with dilution control system, a shoe press, the wet dust removal
system, a reel system, and the machine automation control system. At
the moment, preparations are underway for start-up of a second ANDRITZ
tissue machine supplied to Ganzhou Hwagain Paper, which is scheduled for

| ANDRITZ to supply two tissue machines with steel Yankees to Zhejiang Jingxing Paper, China International technology Group ANDRITZ has received an order from Zhejiang Jingxing Paper, China, to supply two tissue machines with steel Yankees to its location in Pinghu city, Zhejiang Province, for the production of high-quality facial and toilet paper.
International technology Group ANDRITZ has received an order from Zhejiang Jingxing Paper, China, to supply two tissue machines with steel Yankees to its location in Pinghu city, Zhejiang Province, for the production of high-quality facial and toilet paper. Start-up of the machines is scheduled for end of 2014 and mid-2015 respectively. Zhejiang Jingxing Paper is one of Asia’s largest linerboard producers and is now entering the tissue business. The tissue machines, both of the type PrimeLineST, are designed for a speed of 1,900 m/min and for a paper width of 2.85 m. They will be equipped with 18 ft. PrimeDry Steel Yankees with head insulation. The steel Yankees, in combination with a steam-heated hood, enable a high drying capacity at minimized energy costs. With this order, the ANDRITZ PULP & PAPER business area, which manufactures its tissue machine components in Europe and China, is confirming its position as one of the leading suppliers of tissue machines and local services in China.

Mr. Gernot Czerny, Vice President of ANDRITZ Biax, welcomed 170 participants from over 70 companies. Experts from ANDRITZ Biax provided information on the latest developments to improve production processes, operation, energy consumption, and overall efficiency of production lines for biaxially oriented plastic films. Another topic presented was MESIM (Mechanical Simultaneous Stretching System) – the ANDRITZ Biax patented stretching technology for special films – as well as the high-speed chain track system with newly developed, patented clips. During a tour of the workshop and office premises with a total area of 8,000 m2, the participants could witness the high-end quality of the main components in a high-speed BOPP film production line. | ANDRITZ Bricmont to supply aluminum melting and holding furnaces to Shandong Nanshan Aluminum, China ANDRITZ Bricmont, a member of international technology Group ANDRITZ since 2012, has received the order to supply 14 melting and holding furnaces for four direct-chill casting cells to Shandong Nanshan Aluminum Co., Ltd., one of China’s leading aluminum producers.
ANDRITZ Bricmont, a member of international technology Group ANDRITZ since 2012, has received the order to supply 14 melting and holding furnaces for four direct-chill casting cells to Shandong Nanshan Aluminum Co., Ltd., one of China’s leading aluminum producers. The new melting and casting lines will have an annual capacity of 500.000 tons per year. Start-up for the first cell is scheduled for October 2014.
The scope of supply contains engineering, equipment, and field services for the furnaces, including regenerative burners with advanced controls, electromagnetic stirring, and in-bath rotary metal refining systems. In addition to cells that complement Shandong Nanshan Aluminum’s existing soft alloy production facility from ANDRITZ Bricmont, the new installation comprises casting cells dedicated to hard alloy production. The furnaces for two casting cells will be optimized for hard alloy production. All hard alloy furnaces will include a special tilting design to ensure rapid alloy change over. The combustion design for the melting furnaces is based on state-of-the-art technology to reduce fuel consumption and NOx generation. The exhaust from all furnace cells will be connected to ANDRITZ supplied bag-houses to further reduce air-borne pollution.
This order, which is the fourth one to be awarded to ANDRITZ Bricmont by Shandong Nanshan Aluminum, confirms the strong position of ANDRITZ’s furnace group, whose Chinese headquarters are in Shanghai, as one of the leading suppliers of furnace technologies for the Chinese market.

International technology Group ANDRITZ has received an order from Shandong Sun Paper, China, to supply two tissue machines with steel yankees to the Yanzhou mill, Shandong province, for the production of high quality facial and toilet paper. The first ANDRITZ machine is scheduled to start up in May 2014 and the second at the beginning of 2015. Shandong Sun Paper, a globally leading pulp and paper producer, is thus entering the tissue business.
The new tissue machines, both of the type PrimeLineTM W8, are designed for a speed of 2,000 m/min and for a paper width of 5.62 m. They will be equipped with a PrimeFlow 2-layer headbox including dilution control, a PrimeDry Steel Yankee with a diameter of 18 ft., and a PrimeDry ReEvaporation HeatRecovery system. The scope of supply also includes the complete stock preparation plant and the automation system with DCS (Distributed Control System) and QCS (Quality Control System).
According to Mr. Ying Guangdong, Vice President & Chief Engineer of Shandong Sun Paper, this investment is part of an expansion program to become one of the five largest tissue producers in China within the next ten years.

The tissue machines have a design speed of 1,900 m/min and a width of 5.56 m. The steel yankees have a diameter of 18 ft. and a shell length of 6.2 m, making them the world’s largest steel yankees for tissue. The scope of supply also includes the complete stock preparation plant as well as automation and drive systems.
The PrimeLineST machines will be the first of their kind in China and were designed particularly to reduce drying costs. The entire drying process uses steam only, and the large high-precision steel yankee combined with steam-heated hood allows for the maximum possible output at stable runnability, enabling remarkable cost savings by operating with the relatively cheap steam only.
The machines and equipment will be manufactured at ANDRITZ’s production facilities in Europe and China. With this turnkey delivery, the PULP & PAPER business area is strengthening its position as one of the leading suppliers of tissue machines, including local services, in China.
